Created a New Year greeting illustration commissioned by BIE,
the youth media platform that succeeded VICE China.
This illustration explores the meaning of the New Year, conceptualizing it as a beacon of hope—a singular glimmer of light in the dark. The visual narrative centers on a traditional Chinese night watchman. Carrying a softly glowing lantern, this ancient timekeeper acts as a mystical bridge between humanity and the flow of time, guiding the viewer into the future. Accompanied by the starry night and an ox, the piece visually translates a quiet, enduring optimism for the year ahead.
